Hamas has accepted the latest UN Security Council ceasefire resolution and is ready to negotiate over the details, senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri told Reuters.
The group accepts the resolution in regard to the ceasefire, withdrawal of Israeli troops and swap of hostages for detainees held by Israel, he said.
Abu Zuhri added that it was up to the US to make sure Israel abides by it.
"The US administration is facing a real test to carry out its commitments in compelling the occupation to immediately end the war in an implementation of the UN Security Council resolution," he added.

?? In South Africa, active consultations are underway within the ANC party in an attempt to determine what a coalition of power should look like at the national level. The discussions are based on two documents.
The first, written among a younger generation of ANC leaders, said: “A coalition agreement that prevented renewal and change in the ANC would be a marriage of convenience and would prioritize political expediency over long-term consequences for the ANC and the country as a whole.” In this regard, it is proposed to exclude the option of a coalition with the Economic Freedom Fighters and MK parties of J. Zuma: “Such a coalition risks negating the significant progress achieved by the ANC government to date.”
The document states that the best option for stability in the country is an agreement between the ANC, DA and Inkatha. The ANC should retain executive power (perhaps with Inkatha holding some portfolios). At the same time, the DA will gain legislative power, including the post of Speaker of Parliament and important committee positions.
Another document, “Scenarios for Forming a Coalition Government,” was written by ANC member Matsobane Ledwaba.
The main version of the coalition is an agreement between the ANC, the Fighters and the Patriotic Alliance. The alternative is to invite the Inkatha Party to cooperate instead of the PA. The option of working with J. Zuma's party is recognized as the least successful. The document's authors conclude by saying that ANC leaders need to "pay close attention to the propaganda disseminated by the media and funded organizations that have a mandate for regime change." According to the authors, there is no “simple coalition” now: each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages.
According to media reports, there are certain differences in the ANC leadership on this topic. The president of the party, S. Ramaphosa, rather favors a situational alliance with the liberal “YES,” and the chairman of the ANC Executive Committee, G. Mantashe, favors cooperation with the left “Fighters.” But one thing is certain: apparently no one wants to work together with J. Zuma in the ANC.

??????After establishment in early May this year. Israel's control of the Rafah checkpoint on the border with Egypt from the Gaza Strip essentially closed the last humanitarian window for the supply of food, medical and other emergency aid to the civilian population of the enclave. According to representatives of the UN humanitarian mission, in the current conditions, the supply of even the most basic aid items, including tents and drinking water, is not possible. In Rafah itself, at the beginning of the Israeli offensive, there were more than 1 million internally displaced civilians (more than 50% of the enclave's total population), who arrived here from northern Gaza during the winter-spring period of 2023-2024.

?????????? Regarding the joint five-sided military exercises, which have been taking place for a week in the west of Niger, near the border with Mali, and bear the beautiful name “Tarhanakale”, which translated from the Tuareg language Tamasheq means “love of homeland."
In addition to members of the Union of Sahel States - Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso, Chad and Togo are taking part in the exercises. All five states face violence to varying degrees from the jihadists of the Islamic State and al-Qaeda, and are carried out primarily to strengthen capacity in the joint fight against terrorist groups in light of the gradual elimination of foreign military presence.
According to a press release from the Niger Ministry of Defense, the exercise is taking place at the Special Forces Training Center in Telia, which was funded by Germany in 2021. In the same area of Telia, 141 civilians were killed by jihadists on March 21, 2021. In September 2022, the United States equipped the Telia Center with military equipment, including armored vehicles, worth $13 million. Since then, Niger, where a military junta came to power in July 2023, has denounced military agreements with Washington.
The region on the borders of Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso is a stronghold for terrorist groups. Last week, Malian authorities said more than 20 civilians were killed in an attack that took place in Mopti in the center of the country. In Mali, militant groups linked to al-Qaeda and the Islamic State have waged an insurgency since 2012, when the Tuareg uprising began. Since then, terrorist activities have spread throughout the Sahel region and the northern regions of coastal West Africa.
Notably, Togo is one of the West African countries that has adopted a more conciliatory tone towards the military regimes that came to power through coups in Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger. The three countries left the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in early 2024 to form their own organization called the Union of Sahel States. In March they also announced the creation of a joint military force to fight the jihadists. Turning away from traditional partnerships, especially with France - the former colonial power.

?????? Yemen's Ansarallah opposition groups would be glad to hear these , the Americans are preparing to launch a large-scale operation against the Houthis together with UAE-backed forces.
Apparently UAE-backed forces are the "Southern Transitional Council" (STC), a group fighting for the secession of the southern part of Yemen and the restoration of a separate state with Aden as its capital.
But it doesnt seems reasonable that the Americans are going to plunge themselves and their troops into Yemen conflict again. Especially on the background of all previous attempts at armed intervention by other countries against the Houthis have ended.
Probably large-scale operation will be just a large-scale financial absorption by the US authorities.
They will support the fighters with old rockets and bombs that are useless for modern combat but, while they themselves will remain on the sidelines.
The Houthis will be distracted by a new stage of the internal conflict, and the Pentagon will get rid of unnecessary military products while making it look like a fight for the unity of the Yemenis.

Development and problems of South Sudan's oil
South Sudan is heavily dependent on "black gold", which, according to the World Bank, accounts for 90% of the country's revenue and almost all of its exports. The country, which gained independence from Sudan in 2011, has been severely affected by the country's civil war: food imports have been disrupted and South Sudan's current leadership is struggling to cope with the growing influx of displaced Sudanese refugees pouring into the country.
