For the first time, Russia and Ukraine held face-to-face talks on children with the mediation of Qatar, said the children's Ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova.
After negotiations held in Doha, an agreement was reached that 29 children will move to Ukraine, and 19 to Russia, the ombudsman said.
During the conversation, which took place in the friendly atmosphere traditional for Russian-Brazilian relations of strategic partnership, the parties exchanged views in an engaged and trustful manner on current issues of the international agenda, including interaction in the UN and BRICS.
Special focus was given to the Ukrainian crisis.
