Am I just bad at the game?

I am at like day 120 in GTNH and I am only like halfway done with the bronze age. Is this a major skill issue or does the mod pack take this long. I think it might be that im just digesting everything really slow. I have no idea what im wasting my time on

What is a mod you would love to see updated for newer versions of the game?

For me it's definitely Thaumcraft, specifically the 1.7.10 version of the mod since it's the one I am most familiar with.

Love the Towns and Towers mod, but is there any way I could go about disabling these diamond chests that are hidden in most of the mod's structures?

Any good NOT realistic terrain gen mods?

Am i going crazy guys? Why are there only realistique trying world gen mods? Where are intresting and maybe even silly worldgens? Like random chunk that goes straigh to bedrock. Or cute lake surrounded by small mountain range. Or anything really, that looks out of place and intresting.

All stuff now, even in vanilla minecraft, just looks plain and unintresting, trying to blend and appeal to realism. I am playing videogame dammit, and i want to feel it!

Mods that add a ton of content should always have guidebooks along with it.

I do not want to constantly alt-tab just to check a wiki that isn't even updated much.

It doesn't have to be in a guidebook form. The way Create does it is cool.

Is there a 1.20.1 Forge mod that just immediately destroys all Bedrock at the cellular level upon world creation?

I’ve got “Forgiving World” (mod that makes it so the void just warps you to a different dimension), but obviously the void is not usually accessible, so you have to stand above bedrock and wait like 40 seconds for an un-configurable timer to eventually teleport you

So is there any mod that just entirely removes the bedrock layer for 1.20.1 forge?

If there is, it’s not on curseforge or at least not called anything to do with “bedrock” on its own from what I could find.

What is the biggest mod you guys have made/worked on/helped with?

By "biggest" i mean the one that added the most to the game, not the one with the most downloads. Mine is the one i am working on right now because its going to be my first "official" mod. I am also learning java whilst working on it🤩 Its going to expand a lot on clay, and that is all i can say for now because i have basically only been working on the textures and models😅

Is there a way to select an area on a map, like Xaero's Map, assign a name to that area, and then display text similar to what you get with mods like Traveler's Titles or Areas?

why are there no more "large expert" packs?

Packs like DJ2, PO3M, even GTNH. Huge questbooks with incredibly complicated recipes that require everything to be automated? I don't see packs like that in modern Minecraft where it is a feat to actually finish the pack

How to change the ding sound in Dj2

Where can I edit the sound that happens when you load the game, load a world, or change dimensions? In Divine Jouney 2 its the Project E charging sound, I'd rather have it be something else

What is the best way to play gregtech?

I like complex factorio mods and I like other Minecraft modpacks but I've stayed away from using GT in packs that contain it because it seems so much more complex that the packs usually have easier ways to do things like automated ore doubling or storage or power generation.

How would you recommend experimenting with/learning GT? By itself? As part of a pack like GTNH? In something like ATM9 where you can circumvent parts with other mods?

How to build a proper base

So I have played just 2 modpacks yet both which are skyblock. Now I have loved both of them but have always faced a problem with making my base. I am a terrible builder and I really cannot decide how to start with my build. I have seen some of chosenarchitect's videos and have seen that he always some how manages to fit his machines, farms inside of his builds perfectly, whereas I just can't even think of a build idea and even if I do I need to tear it down the next moment because my machines and farms won't fit. Now my question to you experienced Minecraft players is how do you decide what you are going to build, what blocks you are going to choose and how do you fit all the stuff in your base without tearing them down the next instant, like what is your thought process and build process. Please be kind enough to help me out. Thank you.

Beginner tutorials that just show the mod being made?

I'm new to modding (But not programming) / using Java, and while the common approach is to spend a bit of time learning Java first... I find that doesn't work so well with my learning style.

I'm no master at what I do, but the way I've been able to learn other languages, software in the past has been by jumping in head first, and copying enough of what somebody does to figure out how the mechanics of it all work first-hand.

I can't stand bloat, and I don't think I will learn well watching 2, 3 episodes just getting set-up. I'll lose interest.

Ideally, I just need a quick-paced tutorial that doesn't dwell so long on everything it teaches. It would be nice if it were for fabric, but I understand that documentation may be a bit low on that front, so I'll take what I can get.

Forever Stranded multiplayer?

Me and my friend want to play Forever Stranded () together, but when I tried to add the Essentials mod I realized that the mod pack runs on version 1.10.2, which Essentials does not support, is there any way to play the mod pack with friends without breaking the game?

Help Identifying Unknown Growing, Moving Darkness

Randomly, without warning, my view immediately went black. I was able to move around and act, but couldn't see. I was creeped out and left and rejoined.

Afterward, I placed a bed down and slept in it, allowing me to view the event externally. It was revealed to be a huge, slow-expanding vantablack mass seeping through my wall.
