Scams come in many forms. We now have the SMS Sender ID Registry (SSIR), and messages from all government agencies are using as the sender ID. However, scam messages from online messaging applications such as iMessage or Rich Communication Services (RCS) are not covered by SSIR, and can be mistaken to be from legitimate senders. We must continue to stay vigilant.

It’s Dragon Boat Festival today! In Singapore, different dialect and cultural groups offer their own version of rice dumplings, reflecting our unique multiculturalism. There are also healthier choices with less sodium and fat. Do eat in moderation, and I hope you will enjoy the festivities today! 祝大家端午节快乐！

Today is Vesak. It is a sacred day for all Buddhists around the world as they commemorate the birth, enlightenment and passing of Gautama Buddha, and also remember his teachings, compassion and kindness. I wish all Buddhists a peaceful and blessed Vesak Day!

Lawrence Wong has been sworn-in as Singapore’s 4th Prime Minister. I am honoured to serve as Senior Minister and I ask all Singaporeans to join me in giving PM Lawrence our fullest support to take Singapore to greater heights. Majulah Singapura! 🇸🇬

Today, I formally informed President Tharman Shanmugaratnam of my decision to resign as Prime Minister on 15 May 2024. I also advised him to invite Lawrence Wong, who commands the confidence of the majority of MPs, to form the next government.
